October Horror Movie Challenge - All Cheerleaders Die (2013)

Synopsis: A rebel girl signs up with a group of cheerleaders to help her take down the captain of their high school football team, but a supernatural turn of events thrusts the girls into a different battle.

The Good: I loved Leena,  lesbian Wicca goth (and catalyst for the movie).  There are some cool ideas in the movie. Also, I liked the ending and do want to see the sequel (if it gets made).

The Bad:  There's a lot bad about this movie. In general these are characters that you want to see die. It's really hard to like 95% of the cast. Also, the movie tries to be something more. It really does. It seems like it's trying to be subversive and comment on this style of horror movie, but in the end it just becomes one big cliche' moment after another.

Final Thoughts: This isn't a good movie. That being said, I dig it. I think the big reason I like it is that it reminds me of playing Buffy with my friends (our first game also prominently featured a zombie cheerleader).

In Your Game: One of the big lessons talked about in this flick is "if you wish for something, be prepared for the consequences." This fits into Buffy and the other cinematic unisystem games well.  The Zombie Quality from Monster Smackdown works well if you want to make a character similar to the cheerleaders of this flick.
