Plot

Makani moves from Hawaii to live with her grandmother in Nebraska to complete her senior year of high school. One night a classmate is murdered by a killer with a mask that looks like his face. A secret is revealed. Soon the killer starts targeting others, killing them while wearing masks of their face, and revealing their secrets to the world. 

Review

If you are looking for a deep horror movie, this is not it. Based on the horror novel of the same name, this is a typical teen slasher movie in most regards. The first few kills in this one are very satisfying. There's nothing super graphic, it's just the victims are the kind you want to see get iced in a flick like this. None of the character are super fleshed out, but you get enough characterization to make you like them. My personal favorite was potential killer, Ollie. I'm a fan of quiet, outcast characters, with a great taste in music. The story is entertaining and superficial, but fun. I'm not going to slay this is a slasher classic, but it's a fun watch if you have a bit of time and Netflix.
