As I mentioned in yesterday's
post, I thought it would nice to highlight some comic book related DCC content in preparation for
Comic Crawl Classics.
- While the characters aren't superpowered, I think Gunzo! True Vigilante is an obvious resource. Eric put a lot of work into this one and it's great.
- While it's a retro sci-fi setting, Leopard Women from Venus, is inspired by the comics of Fletcher Hanks. The titular Leopard Woman class would be fitting for a supers setting. Additionally, Stardust the Super Wizard and Fantomah are presented as patrons.
- I've not reviewed it but Akashic Titan: Blue Bolt is an entire setting book based on Jack Kirby and Joe Simon's golden age Blue Bolt Comics. There's obvious tons of stuff you can pull from this.
- If you want allies, bystanders, minions, and other foes for a comic book inspired DCC game, check out my April A-Z 2021 master post. It's a collection of npcs and such designed for True Vigilante.
- Finally you can check out posts with my Marvel Crawl Classics tag. This was an idea I had ages ago about running a post-apocalyptic Marvel game using DCC rules.
