X-Factor Review (No, Not That One)

This post has nothing to do with a certain team of mutants in Marvel Comics or UK music show. Today I'm going to do something I don't normally do and review a digital fan comic. X-Factor is a crossover comic by Ben Royce (aka Spookylolly).

The comic begins with the Power Puff Girls heading to stop a villain that's attacking Townsville. They soon find Homelander stealing Chemical X from Mojo Jojo. The powerhouses fight with Homelander getting the upper hand. Luckily for the girls they are saved by the timely intervention of Superman. With renewed vigor the trio take out Homelander and save the day.

Yes this is a goofy premise and there is definitely a style clash, but it's honestly a lot of fun. It's great to see whole heroes kick Homelander's ass. If you'd like to read the comic you can grab it digitally from Ben's Gumroad page. The 12 page comic is presented in two ways. There is a pdf and then also a folder with individual images comic and bonus epilogue page, as well as 12 bonus images (some of which are related to the story and some not). In one image the Power Puff Girls origin for this world is updated and it's pretty fantastic (and tied to the Venture Brothers). There's also a panel of what I hope is the sequel comic which sees Clark take on Omni-Man

At 2 bucks, this one is worth the price of admission. Remember if you want to use Homelander in your 5e game and do your own crossover, stats can be found here
