Tonight I finally got a chance to watch a vampire movie that I
remember reading about a few years ago called Stake Land. The movie takes the
classic post-apocalyptic zombie tale and replaces the shamblers with feral
vampires. It’s currently an instant view on Netflix and if you have some time
you should check it out.
One aspect of the movie I liked was that vampire teeth were used
as a sort of currency and/or symbol of respect. Mister, one of the
protagonists, used them a few times to get into a town or to get goods.
While watching the movie I couldn’t help but think about how the
setting would make a great All Flesh Must Be Eaten game. The game could take the same premise as the
movie. There are small pockets of people living in lockdowns (protected
communities). Players could be wandering hunters or citizens of one of these
lockdowns. They must face vampires and religious zealots (like the Brotherhood
in the film).
Below, I’ve given you my interpretations of the three most common
vampire types. I’ve not statted up “thinking” vamps. Also, towards the end of
the movie Mister makes the comment that he’s seen a lot of mutant vamps. This
is the perfect excuse to add various aspects to the baseline vampire.

Beserkers are the oldest and strongest of
the vampires. You can’t stake them through the heart because of their
reinforced sternums.
