Ice Wraiths (Querralvis, “People of the Long Shadow”)
Ice Wraiths are spoken of in hushed tones among the northern folk. Contrary to legends the malevolent creatures are not ghosts, but cannibalistic elves. Long ago they were a peaceful race but desperation and hard times has led them to the path of flesh eating.
Nothing is more frightening than being stalked by a patrol of Ice Wraiths. Normally silent, they keen and wail when closing in on their prey.
Not true cannibals, Ice Wraiths (or Querralvis as they call themselves) refuse to dine on the flesh of other elves. Elves captured in their forest are given a choice, join the tribe or die a quick death.
