Synopsis: After a meteor shower turns a majority of humans into zombies and fossil fuels stop working. Mechanic Barry teams up with others survivors, turns a truck into a suped-up zombie powered vehicle and goes off to find his sister, who's been captured by a sinister scientists and his soldiers.
The Good: Mad Max meets Dawn of the Dead, how can you top that? Seriously this is a phenomenal action/horror movie. The cast was great. I loved everyone of them. At first I was bothered by the inconsistency with the zombies (fast and slow), but then they figure it out and sort of explain it. Oh and zombiekinesis... that's sweet!
The Bad: I can't really name anything. This is the best zombie flick I've seen in a long time. I do wonder how and why the scientists and soldiers had Tesla-coil styled electric powered trucks, but I can let that slide.
Final Thoughts: If you want a refreshing take on the zombie film, this is it.
In Your Game: Wyrmwood would make a great setting for Rotworld or All Flesh Must Be Eaten. The zombies are typical slow zombies and night and fast zombies during the the day. They have the classic damage the brain weakness. The one tricky thing to stat out would be their the gasoline-like blood. They have a chance of exploding when shot, since their blood and breath is flammable.
Other factors to consider is that fossil fuels are considered inert and anyone that doesn't have the A Negative blood-type will transform into a zombie if exposed to the air.
The zombiekinesis ability would require some sort of opposed will/wisdom check with the zombie. In addition while synced with a zombie, the user takes the same damage a zombie would.
