DC Adventures!

Unfortunately, it looks like Green Ronin's licence with DC Comics is ending at the end of the year. If you aren't familiar with the DC Adventures rpg, it's Mutants and Masterminds 3E, but with official DC content. Here's a rundown of the books:

Hero's Handbook - This is the core rule book, and it contains some hero and villain stats.

Heroes and Villains Volumes 1 and 2 - the books stat out every major DC character and many of the minor. These are the ultimate rogues gallery style books and if you need to stat something out for you game, this is great inspiration.

Universe - This is a setting book. It talks about time, earth, the universe, and the multiverse. It also contains quite a few character stat blocks.

Right now all of the pdf's are on sale for 5 bucks a piece. If you love DC comics or are interested in Mutants and Masterminds, do yourself a favor and snag these. You won't regret it.

  1. I did not know their license was ending!

Green Ronin worked closely with DC Comics to get the backgrounds and personalities succinct yet accurate, and to make the stats as authentic to the comics as possible, much like Mayfair Games did when they made the DC HEROES RPG (1985-1993) and West End Games did when they made DC UNIVERSE RPG (1999-2002). However, at the time that Green Ronin was working on their books -- Hero’s Handbook was released in 2010, Heroes & Villains vol.1 in 2011, Heroes & Villains vol.2 in 2012, and DC Adventures Universe in 2013 -- "Flashpoint" happened, so some of the entries were for the post-Infinite Crisis, pre-New 52 versions, and some were for the post-New 52, pre-Convergence/Rebirth versions.
