Synopsis: While trying to take down an infamous CEO of the Life Foundation, journalist Eddie Brock finds himself bonded to an alien symbiote. The creature frightens him, but the power it gives is intoxicating. Soon the pair find themselves working together for a common cause to stop their enemies.
The Good: This movie was one big fun mess. Whether you find the character convincing or not, Tom Hardy is having a blast playing Venom and it shows. Venom looks impressive and the effects are great. I laughed quite a bit. While there's not much connection to the rest of the film and it's an obvious set up for a sequel, I was happy with the mid-credits scene.
The Bad: This movie was begging for an R rating. The violence could have been more graphic and it would have made it easier to play up some of the horrific elements. I wish it would have had more of a black comedy/horror vibe. The flow of the film seems a bit stilted. It jumps from plot point to plot point. There are also a few script moments that made me scratch my head, including a line about a turd rolling down a hill...
Final Thoughts: This movie is getting a lot of hate, but I loved it (and will definitely pick it up on Blu-ray when it comes out). It might not be as meticulously well put together as the more formulaic MCU flicks, I thought it was a really fun ride. I don't really blame any of the actors, I think the odd pacing is more the producers and studio. Maybe this movie wasn't what most folks wanted, but I'll take it.

I've already did stats for the gritty Venomized Flubber reboot trailer, but I thought I'd do Vigilante City npc stats for the movie version of Eddie Brock/Venom and the Protagonist.
