Saw Week - Saw VII/Saw 3D (2010)

Synopsis: It is a battle for Jigsaw's legacy as the FBI, police, Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill Tuck, and Mark Hoffman all seek to either secure his legacy or finally end the violence. Tuck is being pursued by Hoffman, whom she tried to kill in last film, while the authorities find themselves closer to ever before to catching the new Jigsaw. At the same time a Jigsaw survivor with a dark secret and those close to him find themselves tested.

The Good: I really liked the premise of this one and was excited when I saw Gordon early in the film. I saw guessed the author twist early, but it was intentionally obvious. However, the later twist about Jigsaw's true apprentice definitely caught me off guard.

The Bad: This film was made for 3D and it's obvious. That made it a bit distracting at times. Also, the first game played was way to ridiculous.

Final Thoughts: There was originally supposed to be a Saw VIII (not Jigsaw) and I have a feeling it would have fleshed out what Dr. Gordon is doing with the legacy of Jigsaw. I'm said it didn't get made.
