N is for Norman Bates

For the Blogging from A-Z April Challenge this year I’m going to be looking at slashers and other horror character and statting them out for my free rpg, Slashers & Survivors.

While Psycho isn’t a slasher movie, in many ways Norman Bates is the proto movie slasher. He is at least partially based on Ed Gein (who also served as inspiration for Leatherface).

Armor Points: 0

Bonus: +1 to Attack, +2 to Damage

Attack: By weapon
Special Trait: Surprise Attack (If Norman’s opponent doesn’t expect his attack, it does double damage)

M/O: Be a good son
Weakness: Norman Bates is mortal and bleeds just like anyone else.
