Plot
While trying to save their favorite bodega a group of young people discover that vampires are infiltrating the Bronx.
Review
This movie is pretty on the nose with vampires being the literal embodiment of gentrification. The young cast do an excellent job of making you care about the story. Additionally, the adult cast are great too. I quickly became attached to Jeremie Harris' mentor character, Henry. Also, I love Shea Whigham in everything he does. The film does a great job of making viewers legitimately care about the characters. The film also is a lovely tribute to Blade and I respect that. Also, with it's youth vs vampire premise, you might expect their to be a touch of Lost Boys. There is, but this isn't a bad thing. If you are a fan of vampires, check this one out.
In Your Game
The plot to this flick makes a perfect scenario for a Dark Places & Demogorgons or Cinematic Unisystem game. You could even have adult vigilante noticing something strange going on in their neighborhood.
