I'm sorry, but the narrator's wandering accent really put me off that video.
I know it's meant to be slightly tongue-in-cheek (isn't it?) but it also highlights my problem with the current "canon" of Dungeons & Dragons: if everything's fantastic, and there are a million fantastic playable races and fantastic choices open to players, then NOTHING is truly fantastic.
It just makes the "fantastic" ordinary. And, come on, this is Dungeons & Dragons IN SPAAAAACCCEEEE!!
Reducing it to a parody of Star Trek misses the point (in my humble opinion).
