If you want to read a story of telepathic intelligent bears, check out Do You Believe In Nightmares #1.
Bearfolk are rare underground hunters that appear to be bipedal bears. Depending on their tribal disposition they either ally or war with nearby werecreatures and bigfoot tribes. Occasionally they give birth to mutant children that appear to be human. These children are left on the surface to perish, but sometimes survive. Those that do often become uncanny hunters. It is believed that at least a few agents of C.A.R.E. are bearfolk mutants.
