Linkin Park is back. They recently released two singles. People have big feelings about it. LP is one of my all time favorite bands and the original lead singer Chester's suicide hit me hard. The new lead vocalist is Emily Armstrong, formerly of Dead Sara. While the sound is different, it still sounds like my band when I listen to it.
Not long after Emily's addition to the band, some folks were upset. Armstrong was raised a Scientologist and defended of Danny Masterson. My kneejerk reaction was to leery. However, after looking into this situation it appears that she has apologized for her defense of Masterson and based on Dead Sara lyrics she's no longer a practicing member of that cult. It should also be noted that she's gay Scientology promotes homophobia. Obviously you can make your own decision about whether you want to give LP's new stuff a shot or not.
