October Horror Movie Challenge - Jack Frost (1997)

Note: This is not how Jack looks in the film.
Synopsis: An infamous serial killer named Jack Frost is in a bizarre accident that transforms him into a mutant snowman while on the way to his execution. Changed into a killer snow man he seeks revenge on the small town sheriff that originally brought him to justice.
Not as intimidating as the cover makes him out.

The Good: The creepy uncle telling the story of Jack at the beginning is a nice throwback to old Christmas specials. Also, Scott McDonald does a great job voicing Jack. He has that great serial killer voice, much like Brad Dourif has with Chucky.

The Bad: Other than McDonald's voice acting, the acting is really bad in this one. The snow puns got old too.

Final Thoughts: For all it's cheese and silliness, this film includes a scene in which a killer mutant snowman rapes a woman to death in a bathtub. I mean, it's played for laughs, but that's really fucked up.

In Your Game:

Jack Frost

AC 9 [10]      HD: 3    Attacks: Weapon (1d6)  Move: 12

Jack is immune to regular attacks. Essentially he can only be killed by being melted (via heat or antifreeze). Even then if not trapped in a container, it is possible for him to reform. Also, anyone in melee with Jack takes 1 point of cold damage each round of combat. Jack can also make water freeze by concentrating.
