Background
Jackson Scott lived a normal life with his scientist mother until age 13, when she was fired from her ASP Corp job because of ethical objections. She developed cancer and passed away a few years later. He was raised in the Saint Harper Boys Home. Angry at the ASP Corp he soon became a delinquent. Luckily Saint Harper's was ran by Father Payne, who was formerly the vigilante known as Arrow). Payne taught him to archery and how to focus his anger. Aged out of the boys home, Jackson has decided to become a vigilante, like his mentor. Now calling himself the Hood, he patrols the nights, protecting the poor, and being a thorn in ASP Corps' side (when possible).
PD Arrow is involved? CW Arrow is (potentially) referenced? Classic "orphan" superhero background? This is cool.
ReplyDeleteSaint Harper's is a reference to Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow). The name Hood is a reference to Robin Hood.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the orphan element, Vigilante City has origins and starting cash tables. I rolled that his family lost their home to a big corporation and that he was homeless. It kind of wrote itself after those elements presented themselves.
Hey, no one ever accused me of recognizing the obvious...! :)
