Background
Mark was a simple worker at the local shoe factory until he caught the eye of the boss's daughter. Unfortunately the miser was friends with the local magistrate and Mark was arrested on trumped up charges. He spent a few months in the local slammer, learning a few useful talents. Eventually he was offered a choice, years of prison or enlisting in the war effort. Not wanting to be stuck behind bars, he enlisted.
I wish I knew anything about 5e. A few years ago I created a WWII RPG based on OSR rules (WWII: Operation WhiteBox) because that's what I know. I think it would be a lot easier to find players if I revised the rules for 5e, but I don't play enough to understand the nuances of the system. This game sounds like a lot of fun.
