A is for Ace of Spades

Here's the first of my A to Z Challenge posts this year. Ace of Spades originally appeared in Phantom Lady #20 (October 1948). Like many of her time, she was a one and done character.

Quick Draw: During her first turn, Ace has Advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken an action.

Pistol Expert: Ace can use her pistols in in close combat without suffering Disadvantage on attacks.

Mutliattack: Ace gets two pistol attacks.

Lasso: Ranged Weapon Attack +7 to hit, range 10/30 ft., one target, Hit 0 damage. The target is grappled (escape DC 14). Until the grapple ends, this creature is restrained and Ace can't use another Lasso attack.

Pistol: Ranged Weapon Attack. +7 to hit, range 50/150 ft., one target, Hit: 11 (2d6+4) piercing damage. (15 round clip)

Background

The daughter of a rancher, Queenie Fox, grew up in the town of Death Butte. Queenie made her living as a saloon girl in one of the tourist bars, supplementing her income with trick shooting and horsemanship tricks at local western shows. Her life changed when oil was discovered on her father's property. Hank Knight, a local senator and corrupt businessman, took interest in the land and bought it (and several nearby properties) out from under her family and neighbors. Queenie gathered a group of angered locals and murdered the senator. His disappearance caught the attention of local law enforcement. While her first kill was done out of revenge (and maybe vigilante justice), she realized she was good at killing. She and her gang operated in the south west until the gang was stopped by "Pin-up" Pete Sparling and incarcerated in Bonne Nuit State Penitentiary. She regularly goes on missions for Project Second Chance and has gained a grudging respect for Pete and Warden Ashton Barriere.
