Background
Daniel Vittorio was a kingpin that ruled the Vittorio Syndicate. Vain, spoiled, rich, and misogynistic, he had everything he could ever want. That was until a horrific traffic accident that occurred during a police chase. They dying crime boss drug himself from his car and was saved by the intervention of a retired locksmith. In the man's cabin, Daniel was nursed back to health. During this time, Daniel became obsessed with a strange iron headpiece. The locksmith explained it was a medieval torture device. The lock was made from a strange metal (novium) and seemingly unbreakable. Once donned the wearer would slowly die of dehydration and starvation. The locksmith explained that the lock is so intricate it took him months to create a key that could open the relic.

A month later when Daniel finally removed the bandages from his face, he discovered that his burns disfigured him and made him look more monster than man. This caused the vain gangster to snap. He killed the locksmith in rage, stole the helmet and key, and set out to regain his lost criminal enterprises. Calling himself Iron Mask, he returned to his old gang, killed his successor, and took up leadership once more.

Iron Mask's syndicate currently is primary financial backer of the Crime Editor and the The Daily Crime Record. Much like Gorilla with a Human Brain, Iron Mask isn't a direct operative of Project Second Chance, but is a contact and has helped the the team keep a low profile on a few missions.

  1. A bargain basement Victor Von Doom. Another character with enormous potential. Of course, he's no Gorilla With A Human Brain, but they can't all be ;)

    1. I feel silly, but I wasn't even thinking about Doom when I statted him. I was thinking about the version of Jigsaw that appeared in the Punisher War Zone flick.

  2. I could see using this guy. Simple, but simple is good.
