I was introduced to D&D in 1994. I was 10 at the time and had a new best friend, Chad. We met in the talented and gifted class and hit it off pretty early. I was already into geeky things (I was a kid that didn't play sports), but he introduced me to D&D. At first we just looked through his books. We would then make up D&D stories to play with our action figures. Within the year or so, we played D&D with his cousins Matt and Mark. Those early experiences of actual play weren't exactly the greatest, but we kept at it and did a lot of one on one gaming, which was fun.
Chad and I are still close friends. I actually went and watched Thor: Love and Thunder with him last night.
