The geek world was seriously disrupted a few years ago with Diamond Distributors filed for bankruptcy last year. I know a few publishers that took some big losses from the fallout. It also affected the comic book world. Because of licensing issues and other behind the scenes things several comic book publishers that previous participated in
Free Comic Book Day have launched
Comics Giveaway Day. Its basically the same thing and on the same day, but for legal reasons they are two separate events. While some years I've visited several locations across Columbus, this year I'm just hitting
Super-Fly Comics and Games in Yellow Springs.
