The Most Efficient Way To Use the Infinity Stones

Everybody needs a laugh sometimes. Even if you aren't a fan of Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, this MCU mash-up with drug kingpin Tuco is really damn funny.

He's The Best There Is At What He Does...

I just found out Weapon II existed a few days ago and I believe he needs game stats... because that's how I roll. Also, here's a quote from his appearance in Howard the Duck, "I'm the best there is at what I do, but mostly what I do is gather nuts for winter."

Code Name: Weapon II
Alias: Wolverteeny
Team Affiliations: Weapon Plus

Tiny Beast, Chaotic Good

Armor Class: 18 (Adamantium Coated Skeleton, Size)
Hit Points: 50

Damage Resistances: Nonmagical bludgeoning
Senses: darkvision 30 ft., passive Perception 12

Unique Traits
Adamantium Skeleton: Bludgeoning damage dealt to Weapon II from non-magical sources is reduced by 3. Claw damage done by Weapon II ignores slashing and piercing damage resistance.
Berserker Mode: Weapon II can enter berserker mode. He has advantage on all attacks and all attacks against him have advantage. While in this mode he loses his ability to speak and makes Intelligence saving throws with Disadvantage.
Regeneration: If Weapon II has 1 or more HP at the beginning of his turn, he heals 10 HP.
Super Senses: Weapon II has advantage on all perception skill checks.

Actions
Mutliattack: Weapon II makes makes two claws and one bite attack.

Claw: Melee Weapon Attack. +5 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target, Hit: 6 (1d6+3) slashing or piercing damage.

Background
Weapon II was born an ordinary squirrel. He was also an early experiment of the Weapon Plus program, which used animals as experimental subjects to create new supersoldiers. This is the same version of the program that created Brute Force. Like Wolverine, he has regeneration (which also cause him to age slowly), super senses, and an adamantium skeleton. The process also gave him a human level of intelligence. He teamed up with Squirrel Girl, Howard the Duck, and some cybernetic animals who were being hunted by Shannon Sugarbaker for her hunting tournaments.

67 Days Of Halloween Isn’t Bad

When I decided to do the 100 Days Of Halloween  my plan was to post public domain comic pics and gaming material/ideas. I’ve done that some, but with how hectic things are and my current mental state, it’s mostly been just pics.  Not that there’s anything inherently wrong with that, but it’s not what I wanted and it is burning me out.

I am definitely going to still do the movie challenge for Halloween, but I think I am bowing out of 100 Days Of Halloween. You can still see many awesome game reviews for Tim’s take on it over at The Other Side blog.

Vought Only Partners With The Best

Another Vought International video, this one is a tie-in with a real world product.

You can order Compound VG-Fuel here, though I doubt it gives you actual powers. This isn’t the first time The Boys has had a tie-in with a real world product. The Deep was trying to sell us Liquid Death canned water before season 3 aired.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 67

I love a classic zombie coming out of the grave image. The cover of Chamber of Chills #24 is one of those and it's *chef's kiss*.

Music Monday - Break My Body

For our second Music Monday track, we have a song about Bakugo's best friend, Kirishima. I love the character's growth throughout the series and the few episodes that he's starred in are some of my favorites. Like a few of Divide's songs, this one definitely tugs at my emotions.

Going to take a break from the MHA tracks for spooky season, so next week's Music Monday will be creepy and/or seasonal.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 66

The phantom, Whip Hoyas, appears in Beware! Terror Tales #8.

Whip Hoyas, Ghost of the Black Mesa
Armor Class: 15
Hit Dice/Points: 4
Move: 12, Fly 12
Actions: 1
Attack: Spectral Whip (3d6)
Bonuses: +4 to attack
Special: intangible (immune to all non-magic or psychic damage)
Morale: 10
Terror: 12
HDE: 5

Music Monday - Bleed

Continuing with the Divide's  My Hero Academia tracks, this morning we're going to focus on Deku's childhood friend/rival, Bakugo. Bakugo is a really interesting character. While he's a hero, he's an absolute psycho. Even when he becomes more altruistic later on and grows, he's still nuts.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 65

Dr. MT Graves graces the cover of The Many Ghosts of Dr Graves #1

The good doctor could serve as an ally of C.A.R.E or as  Doctor Strange analog for your Vigilante City games.

Succubus Sunday

Annaifert is this week’s Succubus.

The Fortnite Food Pyramid Is Creepy AF

I was browsing YouTube and saw this short from the official Fortnite YouTube channel. You can’t eat Peely! Okay, I mean his best friend, Jonesy did make him a smoothie at one point, but he got better.

Note the link plays the video from another channel, but I copied it from the official Fortnite one.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 63

Why is Ronald Reagan on the cover of Beware #12?

More From The World Of The Boys

I love all the in-universe promotion Amazon does for The Boys. Here are two newer videos. The first is a promo for National Working Parents Day. It’s pretty disturbing. I hope Butcher can get Ryan back next season. The second is a classic music video from Supersonic/Drummer Boy from his younger boy band days. All of the dated references crack me up, especially  the Twilight reference. Finally the full version of the A-Train take on an infamously tone def Pepsi commercial.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 62

I’m disappointed the cover to Haunted Thrills #18 has no connection to the stories within. Given J’Town’s location a derby horror story would have been fun.

Bat Dance Party

My friend, Stew, shared this with me tonight and I had to share it with everyone else.

Also, while you are in the Bat-Mood, check out my Gotham City Knights posts for Batman-related content for 5e, Vigilante City, and Light City.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 61

Haunted Thrills #03 has a fun cover. Do you think Helen will be pleased?

100 Days of Halloween: Day 60

I dig the the cover of Chamber of Chills #21.

Barry or Bonesy as his friends call him, was a passionate reporter always working to get the scoop. This caused him to make several powerful enemies. Unfortunately one of those enemies turned out to be a powerful necromancer who cursed Barry with unlife and planned on using him as a servant. Luckily (relatively speaking), the necromancer was killed before he could complete the ritual, so Barry retained his intelligence and will. He decided to stick with journalism and work the night desk. Only his closest friends at the paper know his secret. He uses his investigations to aid vigilantes, C.A.R.E., and those that seek to protect humanity from evils of the night.

Barry "Bonesy" Robertson
Armor Class: 13
Hit Dice: 5
Move: 12
Actions: 1
Attack: Bony Hand (1d4)
Special: Like all skeletons, Barry takes half damage from piercing and slashing weapons.
Bonuses: +2 to Melee attacks, +4 to rolls involving investigation and questioning, +4 to stealth rolls
Morale: 7
Terror: 10
HDE: 3

Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts Teaser

This Halloween Marvel will share their first short leading into their upcoming Midnight Suns tactical rpg video game. In the game a group of heroes (with a new hero called the Hunter) will team up to take on Lilith, Hydra, and corrupted heroes referred to as the Fallen. Players will be able to customize the Hunter, who is Lilith’s daughter.

I love the animation and the themed mystic costumes are cool too.

Music Monday - Hero and Pride

Today's songs focus on one of My Heroes Academia's primary protagonists and All-Might's chosen successor for One For All, Izuku Midoriya aka Deku. He's the heart of the show, driven and idealistic.

The first track, Hero, really applies to Deku early in his journey. Going to be real, I feel this one in my bones.

The second track, Pride, is really about Deku coming into his own and proving that he's worthy of One For All.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 59

The cover to Ghostly Weird Stories #122 is definitely one of the my favorite shares for this.

Astro Zombies

The reanimated corpses have experienced some sort of strange radiation or spore that's reanimated them. They are tougher than typical walkers and the remnants of their space suits make them slightly fire resistant and harder to damage.

Armor Class: 15
Hit Dice: 4
Move: 9
Actions: 1
Attack: Claw (1d4) or Bite (1d4)
Special: +2 to Toughness, additional +4 toughness vs fire, bite spreads zombie virus
Bonuses: +5 to Melee attacks, +1 to Damage
Pack Size: 1d4+1
Methods of Termination: destroying the brain

Music Monday - Booty Bound

It's International Talk Like A Pirate Day, so why not enjoy this live action JTMusic video inspired by the video game, Sea of Thieves. Also keep an eye out because I believe the Pirate Borg pdf drops today.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 58

The cover of Horrific #10 is well… horrific.

Fortnite: Paradise

Fortnite’s last season was super chill and all about vibing. That was a nice change from the previous chapter’s war for the island. Now a new threat has appeared and in the season cinematic takes out two of the Seven.

I love that the Paradigm, the previously missing and thought traitorous member of the Seven is taking lead. The new villain, the Herald, looks cool too. She’s giving me Cube Queen vibes. Looking forward to learning more about the Chrome.

The new battle pass looks fun. I’m always down for my comic crossovers and Ghost-Spider/Spider-Gwen is a great addition. Also loving the Meowcles variant, Meow Skulls.

I recently picked most of the new Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War series. Once I get the last issue, I’ll review it and make some new 5e gaming content.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 57

The cover of Adventures Into The Unknown #10 is great. I love the creature design.

My Black Devils stats work well for these creatures.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 56

This cover for Adventures Into The Unknown #08 has great composition. I love how the image is framed. I also like the glimpse of the

Who does that scaly arm belong to? Is it hag, lizard person, or some other monstrosity??

“Get Over Here!"

Another internet find, these Scorpion stats are pretty epic. The great thing about the character is the stats could be used in a traditional D&D game or a supers style game. Hanzo is also a pretty complex character and can be an ally or enemy.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 55

I really like the cover of Ghost Comics #03.

Been another rough day, so I'm just sharing an image today. I plan on posts with more substance this weekend.

2022 October Horror Movie Challenge

This year, the amazing Timothy S. Brannan of The Other Side blog is hosting the October Horror Movie Challenge. I'm definitely participating, but I'm doing things a little different. I normally just watch things and feel like I have to do a review and try to make gaming content for each movie. In the past that has led to burnout and me not finishing the challenge. Most likely I will still watch more than 31 one movies, but my blog posts are going to only focus on the 31 new to me movies I watch this year. I'll keep track of the rest with bulleted lists at the bottom of the post.

Here's a tentative list of new to me films. It includes an alternate or two.

  1. Terrifier 2 (2022)
  2. Studio 666 (2022)
  3. The Black Phone (2022)
  4. Don't Fuck In The Woods 2 (2022)

100 Days of Halloween: Day 53

Today's 100 Days of Halloween post is a bit different. It looks like D.L. Massey has done another fantastic Batman: The Longest Halloween piece and I wanted to share.

If you want to run Vigilante City with the latest big screen version of the Batman, here are pc ready stats. I also have a few Michael Myers variations you can use:

Marvelous Archetypes: Ultimate Edition Review

As regular readers know, I've been hooked on the idea of playing 5e supers. Let's be honest, a lot of complaints from the OSR about 5e include people saying the characters are too OP. Why not take the next step and make 5e supers?

Up to this point I've primarily focused on using Limitless-Adventures Carbide City to run games. Recently I've come across some supers based archetypes that have me also wanting to try standard character creation rules for 5e supers. Marvelous Archetypes: Ultimate Edition is an 88 page pdf available on the DM's Guild that allows you to do just that.  According to the creator it is a collaboration between a group of comic fans who sought to bring their love of supers to 5e. The lore of the archetypes have been given D&D-esque takes. While I've not tested them them, they seem to be at least somewhat balanced.

Within the pages you will archetypes inspired by Marvel, DC, and even anime/manga. The archetypes are all neat and definitely pack a punch. I also like that some comic tropes get multiple versions. For example, Marvel's symbiotes get three different archetypes (barbarian, fighter, and warlock).

  • Path of the Solar (Barbarian)
  • College of the Banshee (Bard)
  • Speed Doman (Cleric)
  • Dark Night (Fighter)
  • Guardian of the Sea (Fighter)
  • Way of the Wing Knight (Monk)
  • Oath of the Named (Paladin)
  • Oath of the Manhunter (Paladin)
  • Mechanical Hunter (Ranger)
  • Trickshot Archer (Ranger)
  • The Green Flame (Warlock)
  • Arcane Armorer (Artificer)
  • Specialization of the Iron Spider (Artificer)
  • Path of the Behemoth (Barbarian)
  • Circle of the Treant (Druid)
  • Circle of the Ant (Druid)
  • Way of the Unseeing (Monk)
  • Primal Hunter (Ranger)
  • Shield Guardian (Ranger)
  • Oath of Asgard (Paladin)
  • Oath of Great Responsibility (Paladin)
  • Secret Agent (Rogue)
  • Visionary Construct (Sorcerer)
  • The Forgotten (Sorcerer)
  • The Supreme Tradition (Wizard)
  • Augmentative Artificer (Artificer)
  • Path of Steel (Barbarian)
  • Path of the Juggernaut (Barbarian)
  • College of Dazzling (Bard)
  • Way of the Storm (Monk)
  • Card Blaster (Rogue)
  • Duplicity (Ranger)
  • Infiltrator (Rogue)
  • Frozen Soul (Sorcerer)
  • The Ruby-Eyed (Sorcerer)
  • Solar Heart (Sorcerer)
  • The Cosmic Phoenix (Warlock)
  • The Mentalist (Wizard)
  • The Cryoficer (Artificer)
  • Scenographer (Artificer)
  • Path of the Parasite (Barbarian)
  • Path of Synergy (Barbarian)
  • College of Cacophony (Bard)
  • Symbiote Bloodshed (Fighter)
  • Way of the Parasite (Monk)
  • Demonic Bloodline (Sorcerer)
  • The Green (Warlock)
  • Spirit of Vengeance (Warlock)
  • The Symbiote (Warlock)
  • School of Enigmas (Wizard)
  • Path of the Unbeatable Squirrel (Barbarian)
  • College of SĆ©ance (Bard)
  • Moon Domain (Cleric)
  • Circle of Red (Druid)
  • Circle of Manifest (Druid)
  • Mystery Muscle Magic (Fighter)
  • Way of the Explosive Palm (Monk)
  • Oath of Eons (Paladin)
  • Oath of Law (Paladin)
  • Oath of Towers (Paladin)
  • Hermatophage (Ranger)
  • The Eternal Champion (Warlock)
  • School of Transposition (Wizard)
You can grab the Marvelous Archetypes: Collector's Edition here. It contains the original releases and the Ultimate Edition. I posted that link because as of the time I purchased it, it was cheaper that buying the Ultimate Edition on its own. If you are interested in 5e supers, it's definitely worth picking up. Even if you're going to stick with the pre-made archetype character creation of Carbide City, you can use these to make new archetypes for your characters. Also, that last sentence might sound confusing, but a Carbide City archetype is not the same as a class archetype.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 52

No new SURVIVE THIS!! stats to go with the cover of Adventures into Darkness #08. Honestly, I just really loved this cover and wanted to share.  If you were going to use these undead menaces, I'd go with ghoul stats.

Music Monday - Next In Line

Let's keep the My Hero Academia momentum going. This song focuses on All-Might's replacement as the number one hero, Flame Hero: Endeavor!

Like most, I couldn't stand Endeavor at first. However, while I still see him as extremely flawed, I like the growth and redemption arc that started in season 5.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 51

No new SURVIVE THIS!! stats based on Ghost Comics #01. I just like the composition. I believe banshees are included in a few books.

Succubus Sunday - Zatanna

DC Showcase: Constantine: The House Of Mysteries is an animated short that deals with the aftermath of Constantine’s actions at the end of Justice League Dark: The Apokalips War. A succubi version of Zee appears in the story.

Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is a wild looking anime that I'm super stoked about. I resubscribed to Crunchyroll because it debuts October 11th. Check out the teasers and trailers.

Created by CrossOut for their Patreon, this barbarian path seems to capture what I've read about the character and is surprisingly balanced.

For an easier to read version of this, check out CrossOutDM's reddit post about it.

Squirrel Girl Saturday

Today’s SG cosplayer is Lucky Lemon.

DCeased: The Anti-Living

I'm a big fan of DCeased. While I initially expected it to just be DC's Marvel Zombies, it feels very different. Where as Marvel Zombies just feels gratuitous and absurd at times, DCeased has a more serious (and ultimately hopeful) vibe. The foes aren't technically zombies. They are humanoids infected by the Anti-Life equation. The poor souls, dubbed the Anti-Living by Batman, because rather than trying to feed they just seek to to steal life and spread death. Its for this reason that I decided not to make them undead or humanoids, but rather aberrations. They Anti-Life equation has essentially rewritten their DNA and made them something unnatural.

Anti-Living
Medium Aberration, Chaotic Evil

Armor Class: 10
Hit Points: 18 (2d8+8)
Speed: 30 ft.
Challenge: 3 (700 XP)

Str 10 (+0) Dex 10 (+0) Con 18 (+4) Int 8 (-1) Wis 6 (-2) Cha 6 (-2)

Damage Immunities: Necrotic, Poison, Psychic
Condition Immunities: Poisoned
Skills: Athletics +2
Senses: Lifesense 60 ft., Perception 8
Languages: Anti-Life, understands the languages it knew in life but can't speak
Proficiency Bonus: +2

Traits
Anti-Life Virus: A creature that takes a bite or claw attack, must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature takes 2 levels of exhaustion. Those affected by the virus cannot regain hit points, unless they have regeneration. They must make a new saving throw any time they are injured by an Anti-Living's bite or claw attack or 10 minutes. The creature's life cycle is frozen in time and doesn't age or need food or any other sustenance. The Anti-Life Virus will not affect beasts. The virus does have a cure. If the character (affected humanoid or Anti-Living) is given the cure, they lose their Anti-Living traits and regain all previous abilities and mental faculties.
Hive Mind: The Anti-Living seem to have a hive mind. This gives them superior pack tactics. Anti-Living has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one other Anti-Living is within 5 feet of a creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Actions
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack. +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target, Hit: 2 (1d4) piercing damage, and the creature must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or gain Anti-Life Virus.
Claw: Melee Weapon Attack. +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target, Hit: 2 (1d4) slashing damage, and the creature must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or gain Anti-Life Virus.

The above stats are for an Anti-Living created from a regular human. Use the template below to turn a superhero or villain into one of the Anti-Living.

Anti-Living Virus/Template
  • The virus is digital. Anyone looking at a screen or monitor that's been affected must make a saving throw as if they've been scratched by someone with the virus.
  • They lose their creature types and becomes an Aberration.
  • Their alignment shifts to Chaotic Evil.
  • They gain a +2 to Con, -2 to Int, -4 to Wis, and -4 to Cha
  • They gain all of the above Damage and Condition immunities and Lifesense 60 ft.
  • They Anti-Living can speak and understand Anti-Life.
  • They gain the Anti-Life Virus and Hive Mind traits.
  • If they do not already have one, they gain a bite and claw attacks.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 49

I've loved the cover of Eerie #03 for a while. Back in 2015, I picked up a Cryptworld supplement Tim Snider released based on it.

The Painted Horror
Armor Class: 15
Hit Dice/Points: 5
Move: 12
Actions: 2
Attack:  Slam (1d8)
Special: If the Painted Horror hits the same creature with both slam attacks it is considered to have made a successful grab attack.
Bonuses: +5 to Melee attacks, +2 to Melee damage
Alignment: Evil
Morale: 12
Madness: -
Terror: 14

100 Days of Halloween: Day 48

While there is a story about a villainous Dr. Hill in the Eerie Tales #10, the story has nothing to do with the brute on the cover.

This brutish character could use the same stats as the Hulking Brute I statted up here. Just change massive club to massive fist and remove the stealth bonus.

Pepsiman!

Coca-Cola may be the world’s most popular soda, but I prefer Pepsi. Plus, Coke doesn’t have it’s own Japanese superhero. If you want to learn more about Pepsiman, check out the wiki or check out this compilation of the commercials.

These stats were created by Brewer’s Surprise and posted on their Tumbler.

Power Man And Iron Fist, DrTNeil Variant Cover

This fantastic tribute to classic Power Man and Iron Fist was done by my fam, Travis in his puppet style. For more of his work, check out his Instagram.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 47

I love old school horror comics, but I wish the cover art related to the stories within more. For example, this hunchback figure from Monster #02 is great, but doesn't appear in the issue. At first I thought he was a giant, then I realized he's just popping up out of a manhole. If you want stats for sewer dwelling monsters for SURVIVE THIS!!,  you could use my C.H.U.D. stats. I also have stats for Bud the C.H.U.D. and a gamer C.H.U.D. variant.

Goku Y Superman

I know I had a few friends that said they found this pic unsettling, but I love this mashup by salvamakoto

100 Days of Halloween: Day 46

It's been a rough day, so for today's post I'm just going to share the cover of Beyond #25.

Hopefully tomorrow, things will have slowed down and I can put time into some stats.

Music Monday - All For One

Since I shared Divide's All-Might "One For All" video last week, I felt it was appropriate to share the flip side of that coin. Today's original song and video focuses on Shigaraki and All For One

100 Days of Halloween: Day 45

The Baffling Mysteries #06 cover is another share just because I find the cover ridiculous. I don't know what that creature is, but it looks surprised and maybe high.

Succubus Sunday - Hurts Like Hell

Today's Music Monday post comes to us from New Years Day. I fell in love with these cats when I saw them for the first time at a show back in 2014. Had a major crush on their lead singer, Ash Costello, since then. She definitely gives me New 52 Harley Quinn vibes, which makes sense because she was Harley in one of their videos a few years back.

100 Days of Halloween: Day 44

The Forbidden Room is featured on the cover and interior of Sinister Tales #17.

The Forbidden Room is a hidden collection of dangerous artifacts. It location is a closely guarded secret, known only to a few top level C.A.R.E. agents and Dr. Drew, Stalker of the Unknown.

It’s Stiiiiiiiiiing!

Created by Hravn16 on and posted on Reddit, this 5e stats for the Icon, Sting are fantastic. What I love about them most is they are on par with my 5e supers stats. You can read more about the design process on Hravn’s blog.

If you need a larger version, click here.

He Is Exalted!

I loved the character Mr. Brodie Lee. Unfortunately, the wrestler that portrayed him, passed away in December of 2020. While looking for more 5e wrestling content I came across these stats for him made by Hravn16. Some may find it strange, but I think it’s a cool tribute to the man.

If you want to see the method behind the madness, check out this post.
