Music Monday - F*ck The Pain Away

I love Peaches and her original version of Fuck The Pain Away is a classic. She recently teamed up with the makers of the new Hellraiser video game to do a new mix, featuring Doug Bradley.

I was already hyped for this game but now I’m next level excited.

Music Monday - The King In Yellow

I'd never heard of Oricadia until I stumbled across this video last week. He's got a great voice and collabs with several artists I like. This track is haunting. I don't have the obsession with the King in Yellow I used to, but this track might have rekindled it.

Music Monday - Netherwilds

Netherwilds is a Canadian peasant metal band (Peasentcore?). There tracks mix fantasy and feudal rebellion.

Several friends sent this to me on Facebook and I can understand why. I'm ready for some class solidarity and a time when my fellow peasants rise up. The song is dope and I hope there's a full video soon.

I saw someone say Return the Goat sounds like the beginning of a DCC funnel. I agree.

This last track is different, but is fun as Hell.

Music Monday - Time After Time

This fantastic cover and video uses footage filmed for the horror flick, Whistle, that wasn’t used.

Music Monday - Scatman Kombat

This DJ Cumberbund mix is phenomenal!

Music Monday - Play Dead (Part 2)

Back in June I posted the music video for Ice Nine Kill's Play Dead. The song and video are based on one of my favorite horror video games, Dead By Daylight. Today I'm sharing part 2 of the video. While this is a Music Monday post, part 2 is all story based.

Music Monday - It’s Pitch Black

The references in this one will only be understood by folks of a certain generation. If you’re one, how’s your back pain?

Music Monday - I’ll Form The Head

For this Music Monday I thought I’d bring back some Voltron-inspired nerdiness from the past.

Music Monday- Call Me

BossLogic posted this fun Supergirl/Blondie art and wanted to share. Read my review of the movie here.

You can check out my review of the movie here.

Music Monday - Play Dead

This post combines two of my loves, Ice Nine Kills and Dead By Daylight. I've posted about the band and video game before (including posting SURVIVE THIS!! stats for the killer known as Trickster). Play Dead is an INK track released for Dead By Daylight's 10th anniversary. I'd actually stopped playing the game for a while, but the include of Jason Voorhees into the game brought me back. Finding out there was an INK and DBD just sealed the (infernal) deal.

The track is good and the video is a fantastic tribute to the game (including the killers, Nurse and (one of my favorites) Legion). All of the band members are dressed up in the outfits of the game's survivors and Spencer (the lead singer) is dressed as my fav survivor, Dwight.

The video has some fun cameos and continues the ongoing INK music video story. Also, going to be real, I love the Insane Clown Posse reference in the video.

Music Monday - Who Will You Be

Here's another Critical Role inspired tune, though instead of jaunty this one is sexy.

Jester's mother, Marion Lavorre (aka the Ruby of the Sea), would be a great focus for a future Fuccubus Friday post.

Music Monday - The Legend of Grog Machina

The new season of Legend of Machina is on Prime. If you want a totally accurate summary of previous seasons, check out this jaunty tune from Grog and Pike.

Music Monday - Go Monkey Go

This one is a blast from the past. Released in 2000 and performed by Devo, Go Monkey Go is a tribute to Mojo Jojo, the primary antagonist of the Power Puff Girls.

Music Monday - The Revo

This past weekend we were treated with an epilogue episode for My Hero Academia.

The intro song, The Revo from PORNOGRAFFITTI, was used in the last season. This video (which I’m pretty sure was also in the last episode) hits the major beats of the entire series and made me a little emotional.

Music Monday - Crash

I loved Wayne Static and Static-X when I was in high school and college. Sadly Wayne passed away a decade or so ago. This past week we got a new music release and music video featuring the man (and no it's not AI). I remember the song Crash from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. A Batman themed music video was shot, but never released, until now. Some bits of the music have been recorded/changed and the video has been given a 4K remaster.

Music Monday - Earth Is The Loneliest Planet

I think Morrissey is a tool and I prefer his work with The Smiths, but this bezerkartwerk is cool.

And now for the song that inspired the art.

Music Monday - Catch!!!

Yesterday I finished watching Season 2 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. I really enjoyed it. It hit all of the major points from the manga. This season featured even more heroes from the main series, and included a three episode arc focused on Aizawa.

The theme, Catch!!!, is great so I decided it would be a great Music Monday post. That being said I do have to admit that I still like Season 1's theme, Kekka Orai, better.

Here's an English cover by Silver Storm.

Music Monday - Space Oddity

Another inspired bezerkartwerk comic and music mashup.

And now for the Bowie classic:

Music Monday - The Bad Touch

This is a bezerkartwerk piece I didn't expect to see. Anyone play the Planet of the Apes RPG?

Listening to this song gives me middle school flashbacks.

Music Monday - Bohemian Rhapsody

This Judge Dredd and Queen bezerkartwerk mashup is inspired.

And now for the masterpiece that inspired it.

Also while you're at it you should go check out my favorite Brit's blog, Cowboys, Capes, and Claws.
