Planet of the Apes Light

I got the urge to do a simple (two or three page) classic Planet of the Apes style hack for Swords & Wizardry Light. I have Apes Victorious and it's fantastic, but I want something even more rules light. There's not much work to be done for this though right?

The thief and fighter classes work fine for the setting. I'd need to make quick ape subrace and devolved human races and stat some primitive firearms (which I've done for Six-Shooters & Wagons). I think the game needs more classes than two though. I would also definitely stat out some supporting characters and such.

What else should I add to this mini project?

Speaking Of Crossovers I Didn't Know I Needed Before Today...

This has the potential to be amazing. The story will pick up immediately after the events of the original 1968 Planet of the Apes. General Ursus and Dr. Zaius discover Kong and follow a path that leads them to the monstrous Skull Island. I don't know how you feel, but I think this sounds like an amazing Terra Primate or Apes Victorious campaign.

Where Man Once Rolled Dice -- Now Game The Apes!

Have you checked out Apes Victorious yet?

Apes Victorious is a Labyrinth Lord compatible post apocalyptic rpg set on a world where apes rule and man has devolved. Yup, it's a classic Planet of the Apes rpg. Classes include astronaut, various ape species, degenerate human, and underground dwelling psychic mutant. This is sci-fi, but it's 70's inspired sci-fi.

Interested? Just like Labyrinth Lord, Goblin Games has posted a free art-free version of the book.

Have Apes Victorious and want to add some spice to it? +Mark Craddock has some excellent posts.

Cactus Joe, Gorilla Gunslinger

I was looking for something and I came across the perfect miniature for Six-Gun Gorilla. Reaper's Chronoscope line has a mini called Cactus Joe, Gorilla Gunslinger.

Seriously, how badass is this mini?
