Despite the glitches, I've been playing the asymmetrical Friday the 13th game since it came out. It's inspired me to work on my first big pdf project. I've ran some basic ideas by a couple of folks, but haven't went into too much detail just yet. This one will truly be an undertaking for me, but it's subject matter that I love, so I know I can do it. My goal is to have it completed by Halloween.
So what's your favourite slasher movie? Why? Do you know of any hidden gems?
(PS: I know some of the images are from Dead by Daylight. I also plan on snagging it when it drops on console).
Very intriguing! I can't say I know of any hidden gems, but I did go through a phase where I was semi-obsessed with the genre, and the film that actually frightened me the most during that binge was the documentary Cropsey. I generally don't find fictional movies legitimately scary...but a documentary about a murderous urban legend rooted in reality...that was something I was glad I "branched out" to.
ReplyDeleteI need to check out Cropsey.
DeleteMy favorite slasher series is Friday the 13th. My favorite slasher *movies*, though, are the original Halloween and Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.
ReplyDeleteI do love those Friday the 13th films. Have you seen Sleepaway Camp? That's a good one.
ReplyDeleteSleepaway Camp is great. The sequels are...fun.
ReplyDeleteI also have a soft spot for Harper's Island, which was a one season series on CBS. It's basically a slasher film over 13 episodes.
Sleepaway Camp has one of the few slasher deaths that makes me wince (the curling iron). I've heard good things about Harper's Island.
ReplyDeleteOutside if the obvious classics Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and Cold Prey are my favourite. The Hatchet Trilogy was fun too.
