October Horror Movie Challenge - Cub (Welp) (2014)

Synopsis: When a young scout with an active imagination, Sam, and his scout troop go camping in the wrong part of the woods, unusual things start happening. Sam soon finds a feral boy, he believes is a werewolf.

The Good: Maurice Luijten is great as the lead, Sam. The characters are believable and the story is interesting. The death traps are fantastic, though implausible.

The Bad: There is a definite tone shift in this film in the last quarter. It gets really dark, really fast. Now this wouldn't have bothered me, but it was very sudden.

Final Thoughts: Despite the tone shift throwing me off, this was a good movie. I will say that if you don't want to see kids killed, don't watch this one. Also, the film is in Dutch, which didn't bother me, but I know some folks down like subtitles.

In Your Game: Need to add a feral boy to your Swods & Wizardry Light or Slashers & Victims Light? I've got you covered, fam.
