October Horror Movie Challenge - Rawhead Rex (1986)

Synopsis: While visiting a small village in Ireland and American historian and his family encounter an ancient demon.

The Good: This movie is bloody good fun. I really like the premise. Rawhead is an interesting looking monster (even if he's not scary).

The Bad: Rawhead does not look scary. While I like the design, he looks like a Gwar reject. It would have been more interesting to see Rawhead as described in Clive Barker's original story.... a nine foot tall phallus with teeth. The final is a little anticlimactic too.

Final Thoughts: I've wanted to watch this one for years and I wasn't disappointed. Is it a masterpiece? Nope. Is it a fun fantasy horror flick? Hell yeah!
