Every time I feel like I'm done with subversive superhero media that deconstructs the genre, I see something like this and I get sucked in. Written by Mark and Brian Gunn (brothers of James, who is also a producer for this), Brightburn is the Superman story, if Clark didn't have the moral compass he did.

I've been wanting a good superhero horror flick for a while and I think I've found one.

This could lead to some very interesting roleplaying opportunities especially in a lower powered supers setting.
