B is for Belphegor


Belphegor is a prince of Hell and known and the Lord of Openings. He is the embodiment of sloth and his very existence is intrinsically tied to excrement, his preferred offering. His own waste gave birth to the monstrous otyughs. Unsurpringly, his name is cursed by gong farmers everywhere.

The overwhelming stench of feces surrounds him and is overpowering to those withing 60' of the fiendish noble. Unless characters have protective face coverings to block the smell, they will constantly wretch, giving them a -2 to attack rolls and making spellcasting virtually impossible. He can only be damaged by magic and magical weapons.

Summoning/Bargaining Ritual Modifiers: Due to his slothful nature all summing attempts are made at -10, offering of night soil (+1 per 50 lbs)

Potential Boons: wealth, immunity to disease, service of an otyugh, immunity to stench attacks


Potential Banes: clothes always covered in waste, critical failures cause bowl movements, character constantly smells of feces
