Saw Week - Saw III (2006)

Synopsis: Dr. Lynn Denlon is tasked with keeping Jigsaw alive while man name Jeff completes his own test.

The Good: This was the first movie to present the idea of forgiving those that wronged you. There are some interesting kills and the death via exposure and cold water game was actually pretty neat.

The Bad: I know it was because folks were being tested, but I actually got angry when one of the characters won her game and was still killed. The movie also has the grossest film in the scene. Judge Hadlen's trap involves him being chained down in a pit that's slow filling with rotted pig carcasses that have been dropped on circular saws. It's absolutely gnarly.

Final Thoughts: This does a great job of expanding the first film. It also is when we first learn that Jigsaw doesn't work alone.

In Your Game:

Jigsaw's Games (Part II)

I've already discussed some rules about Jigsaw's games, but I decided to add a small damage chart to flesh the traps out (pun intended).

Acid, Weak 1d4

Needle Pit 1d4/round + Critical Saving Throw to continue acting
Pendulem Blade 1d6
Razors 1d4
Razor Wire 1d4 + Dexterity Check DC 14 to move forward
Syringe 1 + Contents
