Plot
A group of attractive college-age witches form a coven to invoke the power of an Ashura, a witch tied to their families. During their first attempt to summon Ashura, one of the members is killed. College student Sophie is recruited to take her place.
Review
You can tell the writer/director of this flick was a big fan of The Craft. Instead of four cardinal directions, the coven members were tied to elements. The witches are already quite powerful, unlike the ladies of The Craft. The leader of the coven, Ronnie, is essentially Nancy, just more unhinged. By her side is her girlfriend, who spends quite a bit of time topless. This isn't a complaint.
Further comparisons to The Craft can be seen in the local occult bookstore Sophie frequents. I wasn't familiar with any of these actresses, but they seem to be having fun. Honestly, that's what this movie is. It's not that great, but it definitely fun and full of witchy goodness.
If you're in the States, this one is currently streaming on Tubi.
In Your Game
Magic is cast via an ancient language. I think having a magic language is a nice campaign feature. Sophie and her Coven would fit perfectly in a What Shadows Hide or Cinematic Unisystem game. Given their witch heritage, they could even be homo magi.
