Valley of the Cracked Helm Review

Valley of the Cracked Helm is an OSE pointcrawl by the Union of Hirelings, Henchman, & Hangers-On. The pdf is pay-what-you-want and when printed is a double-sided trifold. It's similar in scope and humor as their previous adventure I reviewed, Thicc as Thieves.

The adventure takes place in the titular Valley of the Cracked Helm. Once a bastion of dwarfdom, years of misfortune and benders left it a pale imitation of its glory. A place of shame it is now home to the hirsute, drunken, naked, wild dwarves. There is also a hobgoblin tribe that dwells in the valley. Both the hobgoblins and the wild dwarves are discussed and given stats with random charts. There are also random encounters and random development charts. 

The other side of the pamphlet includes a map of the valley and 10 different locations. Each location has a bit of useful info and many include smaller locations found within them.

There's a lot of character and fun to be had in this valley, especially if your party includes a dwarf. This is one of those great frontier locations or even something to include in one of your settings' mountain ranges. When I finally get around to running and OSE game I will definitely be using this one.
