Last night I watched another of my other favourite vampire movies, Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. If you've not seen it, you really need to. It's the perfect mix of Hammer Horror and swashbuckling action. Plus Caroline Munro is absolutely gorgeous as the gypsy, Carla.
Here are stats for Kronos and his followers for Lamentations of the Flame Princess.

I was looking for art to go with this post and just discovered that the movie is get a four issue comic book sequel. I definitely want the Hammer Glamour cover. You can read more about the series here.
I'm a little ashamed to admit that I've never seen this, but it seems like another setting/story that fits perfectly with the LotFP vibe.
ReplyDeleteHe's a great "early modern era of Earth" protagonist and definitely fits with the Hammer Horror influenced LotFP stuff.
DeleteI, too, must admit a shortcoming in this department. Even worse as Rachel got me the blu-ray for Christmas a couple of years ago... and I still haven't watched it!
ReplyDeleteIf you like Hammer flicks, give this one a go. It's more of a swashbuckling tale than most, but that's a good thing in my opinion. I have this on DVD and want it on Blu-Ray (though I don't know if it's been released in the States on Blu-Ray).
