October Horror Movie Challenge - The Crazies (2010)

Synopsis: When an unknown toxin turns the peaceful residents of Ogden Marsh into bloodthirsty murderers the town in quarantined by authorities. The sheriff and a small band of citizens must defend themselves and find a way to flee their home.

The Good: This has a phenomenal cast. I'm a big fan of Timothy Olyphant and Joe Anderson and they both do a fantastic job. There a few "oh shit" moments, my favorite being the sherriff stabbing someone in the neck with a knife that has impaled his hand.

The Bad: I really don't have any complaints about this one. It's a solid flick with good tension.

Final Thoughts: This may be one of those rare examples of the remake being better than the original. Romero is a great director, but I think this version of The Crazies is better than his.
