October Horror Movie Challenge - The Strangers (2008)

Synopsis: Expecting to have a nice relaxing weekend at their vacation home a young couple is terrorized by three masked torturers.

The Good: The movie has some very good shots and the acting is solid. The masks the killers wear are really creepy. This movie has one of the most chilling interactions in recent memory:

"Why are you doing this to us?"

"Because you were home."

The Bad: For all it has going for it, to me the movie still ultimately just a retro-looking home invasion flick. The cat and mouse plot is predictable. 

Final Thoughts: This movie has a lot going for it, but it's not really my style. I like tension, but it was too slow for my taste.
