Do you tend to include chase scenes in your games? While I don't do it often, I like to include a cool chase scene now and then. When I do, I often use the format presented in the often maligned 4e for skill challenges. The format really works. Allow players to describe what they are doing during the choose and have them make associated skill checks (if pertinent). After they make a predetermined amount or ratio, then end it. It's simple, it's fun, and it works.
