Colin Farrell is a handsome fellow which made the Fright Night remake an obvious choice "Pretty Bloodsuckers." Seriously, I'm not saying he doesn't come off as sleezy in this one, but it's a sexy sleazy.
Plot
Former nerd Charlie (Anton Yelchin) is discovers his new neighbor Jerry (Colin Farrell) is actually a vampire. He heads to Vegas to seek out stage magician and "vampire hunter" Peter Vincent to take Jerry down.
Review
I love the original Fright Night, but I actually like this one better. The entire cast are great. Anton Yelchin is one of my all time favorite actors (and I still mourn his passing when I think about it). Farrell's Jerry is the perfect mix of suave and slimy. Christopher Mintz-Plasse actually makes "Evil" Ed a character I care about (unlike the original). Toni Collette is Toni Collette... really that's all you need. Imogen Poots is the cute love interest. David Tennant is the really scene stealer as the Chris Angel-esque Peter Vincent. And those leather pants... yup. Oh and the original Jerry actor, Chris Sarandon, has a cameo which is credited as Jay Dee.
This one has great humor, style, and lore. It's one of my favorite vampire movies.
