 I dig the the cover of Chamber of Chills #21.

Barry or Bonesy as his friends call him, was a passionate reporter always working to get the scoop. This caused him to make several powerful enemies. Unfortunately one of those enemies turned out to be a powerful necromancer who cursed Barry with unlife and planned on using him as a servant. Luckily (relatively speaking), the necromancer was killed before he could complete the ritual, so Barry retained his intelligence and will. He decided to stick with journalism and work the night desk. Only his closest friends at the paper know his secret. He uses his investigations to aid vigilantes, C.A.R.E., and those that seek to protect humanity from evils of the night.

The reanimated corpses have experienced some sort of strange radiation or spore that's reanimated them. They are tougher than typical walkers and the remnants of their space suits make them slightly fire resistant and harder to damage.

While there is a story about a villainous Dr. Hill in the Eerie Tales #10, the story has nothing to do with the brute on the cover.

This brutish character could use the same stats as the Hulking Brute I statted up here. Just change massive club to massive fist and remove the stealth bonus.
